Journey of Nishiyuu Website Launch!

As the Journey continues to inspire many, as its message carries across borders, as the new dawn of humanity continues to unfold with all the positive movements of the world, we are excited to launch the Official Journey of Nishiyuu Website to you!

This site will include up to date information about the Journey and its progress, with navigation made easy, we hope it serves you to the best of our intentions. With new walkers joining for the message of Unity, this is our time as humanity to wake the sleeping giants that have been sleeping for some time. They are awakening as the Nishiyuu is awakening. The term “Nishiyuu” derives from the Cree Legends and stories of old that has been past down for thousands of years: the definition? Humanity, could it be anymore simple than that?

The wave of support has been growing within our Cree Nation, other First Nations and around the world. Volunteers have been sprouting everywhere along the way and as Idle No More and Chief Theresa Spence’s Hunger strike inspired these young fellows; so has their humble efforts to do their part as the future leaders of First Nations and the world.

As you read the Message and Bios of these young men, you will soon realize the difficulty of the task, but the simplicity of the message. The time for Unity is now and lets begin the process… if we truly believe it, we are already there.

We thank you on behalf of the Journey of Nishiyuu Walkers and their inspirational message and effort, we know that they are inspired by you and the incredible support that you have given them!

Meegwetch Misweh (Thank you all)!

Congratulations on the birth of your website. I will forward the link to everyone I know. The cycle for this Settler Ally has come round full for I started my adult life as a teacher in Whapmagoostui/Kuuguarapik thirty seven years ago. When I was watching closely the events of Idle No More and looking at the pictures being posted by Paul Seesequeesis, I kept looking for some event from Whapmagoostui. I had this really strong sense about something like a big energy was brewing in that community and my intuition was on. Suddenly, Wow, wow, wow, this team bursts out of the gates to walk!! on snowshoes!! 900 miles!!! That’s a distance equal to “from the Atlantic coast where I am to Montreal”. I felt like some magical force had arrived on the scene like when I was a kid and I would read Superman comics. These people had blown the lid off all this government’s deceptions. The Journey of Nishiyuu has trumped the “evil” force of Bill C-45 and symbolically flattened it. What if the Federal Government thinks it has the power. It doesn’t. The people have the power because the people i.e. the Nishiyuu in this case have the moral authority where an ethical void in the government’s corporate agenda exists. If the Indigenous peoples and the Settler Allies come out in full force like people in Quebec did, we will expose the underbelly of the bully which is pink and trembling. The youth of Whapmagoostui in conjunction with Idle No More have released an arrow of superhuman courage and strength to put Canada on a new trajectory with them in the lead. Corporatism will not give up easily. But the Nishiyuu as the symbol of new leadership have goodness and the people behind them. And the bow is drawn back for more arrows to fly.

Great web site and I am sure that it will grow in the days to come. Just what is needed to keep us informed and up to date on the journey that these brave young men have started. This journey is fulfilling it’s purpose which is evidenced by fact that a number of others have joined. Numerous people from around Canada and the world are watching as the message gets out. This journey will continue to grow and its supporters will continue to grow as it gets closer to Ottawa. Don’t be fooled by the lack of comment from numerous news media and politicians of any stripe. They are watching. Soon enough they will have to react to it and admit that this is not going away. They will have to wake and address the issues that these young men bring with them, the issues that they began the journey with. Issues addressed in the vision and purpose of this journey. I stand with the others and cheer you and encourage your journey and I will be here to welcome you to Ottawa. Thank you for what you have undertaken to do.
